My European name is Monique my Kenyan name is Mwende. I am half of Rinique. Rik is my husband, without his support I wouldn't be able to do this. I was born in The Netherlands but I haven't lived there long. My dad had a job bringing us to al parts of the world. One of them being Kenya where I lived 3 years. That's when I lost my hart, i felt HOME. I married to a Belgian and my kids are big enough now to leave them for a while. My time has come to travel to Kenya as often as I can afford. Why Kenya ?

• the people are so friendly and happy
• nature is unbelievably beeautiful
• food is great and healthy (especially the abundant fruits!!)
• the wheater is always nice, even if it rains
• we can make lots of people happy with little gestures
• the ocean breeze is very healthy
• after every journey you realise how happy we should be living in Europe with social security, free schooling, healthcare and how silly we are making fuss about really nothing

I want to share tis experience with other people. My first companions were very happy with the trip and the daughter of my Kenyan friend is named after them : Kim en Miet  >>>>  Kimmy <<<<
